Bella Benevolent just arrived at the ranger’s cabin that Jay told her to go to and she is smitten with what she has found.
“The teddy bear, the rose petals. . . this is so Holden,” Bella states happily. I can’t believe he’s done all of this for me. This feels like a dream.”
Meanwhile, Holden was inside, baffled as to why Cassandra Goth had just shown up and thrown her arms around him.
“I couldn’t believe this was finally happening,” Cassandra tells us. “I’ve waited to be with Holden forever and he’s finally come around.”
“Cassandra and I sat down to play chess and suddenly she just got so. . .flirty!” Holden reveals in disbelief. “All of a sudden I had a terrible thought and checked my phone.”
“And there it was! I accidentally texted Cassandra instead of Bella! I had to set the record straight and fast!”
“Let’s forget the chess game, Cass. We need to talk.”
“I knew I had to tread softly with Cass, but also knew that I had to be direct. What I didn’t know was that Bella had walked in.”
“Cass, I need to explain some things. My feelings for you–“
“My feelings for you are the same!’ Cassandra interrupts, unleashing a storm of romantic tickles on Holden.
“I just stood there,” Bella says. “Shocked and embarrassed. Of course, Holden had feelings for Cassandra. I can’t believe I missed the signs.”
Holden jumped up from the sofa when he saw Bella.
“Bella, I’m so glad you’re–“
“Holden I’m so sorry to interrupt you guys. I have to go!” Bella said in a voice barely above a whisper.
“I can’t believe I was so stupid,” Bella cries after running out the door.
Cassandra watched as Holden flew out the door after her.
“He–he doesn’t have feelings for me at all. Was this just a game to make Bella jealous?”
“All of this was just a lie,” Cassandra adds softly as she watches Holden run after Bella.
Holden, getting himself lost for over an hour chasing after Bella, finally made it back to the campsite, only to find a very unexpected visitor.
“I can’t believe this!” Holden cries. “Anybody but him!”
Much to Holden’s dismay, Bella was thrilled to see Edwin.
“Edwin showed up out of nowhere just to check on us. Seeing him made me feel forget about the embarrassing incident with Holden and Cassandra.”
Holden couldn’t keep his frustration in.
“Why are you even here?” he demands of Edwin.
“I don’t see how that’s any of your concern,” Edwin replies cooly.
After leaving Granite Falls to return home, Holden’s day got considerably worse.
“You lied to us!” Holden’s dad, Henry exclaims. “You said you were on a school field trip when you were really camping out with TEEN–which you have been forbidden to do!
“I was totally busted!” Holden tells us.
“You’ve got a lot of explaining to do,” Henry continues, “but first your mother and I have an unexpected surprise. Follow me.”
Henry then let Holden to a double shock!
“Meet your new little sisters, Serenity and Sage!” Sparkles announces, staring in awe at the infant in her arms.
“Let me get this straight!” Holden exclaims. “My mom just delivered twins out of thin air and I’m the one who has some explaining to do?!”
Has Holden just seen the beginning of his troubles? How will Cassandra fare knowing that Holden will never be hers? Will Bella grow closer to Ediwn and if so, what will be the price she must pay?
