When an unexpected snow shower hit during the teen’s recent retreat, Jay Black decided to use the occurrence to his advantage.
“Brooklyn and I have been real close lately and I wouldn’t mind getting even closer,” he tells us with a sly smile.
Brooklyn knew exactly where Jay’s mind was.
“Jay’s actually a lot cooler than I thought,” she states. “So if he wants to do some cozying up in a little cabin, why not?”
However, When the couple arrived things got awkward.
“I never get nervous around guys, but here I am, with my heart pounding in my chest,” Brooklyn reveals.
To calm their nerves, they two did what any Sim would do in the situation. Play soccer!
“I thought I’d impress Brooklyn with my moves, even though I’ve never touched a soccer ball in my life. It worked. . . I think,” Jay laughs.
“The distraction helped me regroup” Brooklyn tells us. “I realized Jay and I have chemistry and I didn’t want to waste any more time kicking a ball.”
“I wanted to pinch myself,” Jay adds. “I couldn’t believe I was with a girl like Brooklyn in a cabin by ourselves.”
“Sure, Jay’s face had broken out into something that looked like mosquito bites but I knew what I wanted to happen.”
“I wanted to make a move so bad, but all I could do was stand there and grin like a llama,” Jay tells us.
“Somebody had to do something,” Brooklyn adds, “so I leaned in. . . but just ended up hugging him.”
After a few uncomfortable seconds, nature took its course.
“When our lips touched it was fire!” Jay exclaims happily.
“We pretty much spent the rest of the night making out,” Brooklyn confesses.
Shortly afterwards, the pair snuck back into camp.
However, their arrival didn’t go unnoticed.
“I saw Brooklyn and Jay sneak in this morning. The look on Brooklyn’s face told me everything,” Aria Perkins states sadly.
“I know Jay and I broke up,” Aria adds, “but does he really have to move on so quickly? Did what we have mean so little to him?”
Aria wasn’t the only one who noticed Jay and Brooklyn’s arrival back in the wee hours of the morning.
Jay came back with a huge grin on his face,” Holden McGlum reveals. “I knew he left with Brooklyn so I put two and two together.”
“I didn’t give many details, but I highly recommended the cabin to Holden,” Jay says. “He got my drift.”
“I don’t know how I got my courage, but I decided that I was ready to tell Bella how I really felt about her. I sent her a text asking her to meet me at the cabin later on that night.”
However, Holden didn’t realize that he sent the text to Cassandra Goth instead.
“Finally!” Cassandra happily exclaims. “Holden texted, ‘”It’s time for you to know that I’ve been holding back my real feelings for you. Meet me at the ranger’s cabin tonight so I can make it up to you.” ‘
Holden hiked up to the cabin to make the the space a bit more romantic.
“All of the frog aquariums were giving the wrong vibe so I did a small makeover!” Holden laughs. “I think Bella’s going to love it!”
Meanwhile, Aria was giving Brooklyn some serious side eye as she made small talk over the campfire.
“Brooklyn’s literally sitting here talking about the weather, acting like she didn’t just spend the entire night with Jay!” Aria exclaims.
However, Athena Alpha swiftly intervened.
“I sensed some strong energy coming off Aria so I pulled her aside.”
The story came pouring out.
“It took some time, but I managed to calm Aria down. Boy problems are so hard and Aria is such a sweet person.”
“Athena reminded me that I’m still me, even if I don’t have a boyfriend! Even if I don’t know how I even feel about boys!”
“I wanted to empower Aria to believe in herself again,” Athena shares. “I want her to see herself in the same warm light that others see her.”
“It’s going to take some time, but I’m going to be ok,” Aria says, wiping a stray tear.
Brooklyn took the break in conversation from Aria to connect with her sister.
“I was on a high coming back from my night with Jay,” Brooklyn reveals. “I wanted Bella to feel the same kind of happiness I did. The way she’s been holding back from Holden is so lame.”
“Brooklyn’s totally right,” Bella says. “Why are Holden and I dancing around our feelings for each other? It’s time to stop playing games.”
“I asked Jay if he knew where Holden was and he told me that he was up at the ranger’s cabin and I should already be up there. Jay is so weird sometimes.” Bella laughs.
As Bella made her way up to the cabin, Holden eagerly anticipated her arrival.
“I can’t believe this is happening. I think I hear her at the door right now.”
However, the guest was not who Holden expected.
“Hi Holden,” Cassandra was heard calling shyly.
What will Holden do when he realizes his mistake? Can he still declare his love for Bella with an unexpected visitor in the way? Will he be forced to let Cassandra down gently?
