Granite Falls, Here We Come!

Athena Alpha and Lorraine Dean just hosted a much-needed retreat for members of TEEN in the natural world of Granite Falls. Check out the view!

“We just want this trip to be a chance for the gang to connect with nature and each other,” Athena states while making breakfast.

“I think I’m connecting with nature a little bit too much,” Aria Perkins states while swatting away pesky insects. “I’m definitely not an outdoors girl.”

Holden McGlum, who had to lie to his parents about his whereabouts, shared similar sentiments.

“Not gonna lie. These restrooms are giving ick!”

And of course there was the “bear” problem.

“Nice bear, nice bear,” Lorraine was heard pleading nervously to the Sim in the costume.

“Relax,” Brooklyn Benevolent tells Holden. “The bears are so demure!”

Later on Lorraine and Athena brainstormed some ways for the teens to bond with one another.

“I heard there’s a beautiful hidden lot somewhere over by Granite Forest,” Lorraine tells us. “I thought it would be fun to race to see which team could find it first.”

“I immediately teamed up with Brooklyn because we really hit it off at the pool party. Maybe this will get us closer to locking lips,” Jay Black says.

Bella Benevolent and Holden wasted no time making it to one of the lakes.

“I think we have the advantage,” Holden whispers to Bella. “I’ve been here before.

Holden is referring to when he was reunited with his parents months earlier after the Riverview explosion.

Cassandra Goth had no such advantage.

“This place isn’t even on my GPS! The secret entrance is near a fallen tree, but do you know how many fallen trees are out here?”

Aria was not faring much better, but for different reasons.

“I’d rather die alone out here before I see Jay and Brooklyn making eyes at each other.”

After what seemed like an eternity, Lorraine finally found the secret entrance hidden behind some brambles.

“Should I have let one of the kids find the entrance? Probably. But, they were so hungry and exhausted I don’t think they cared.”

Nevertheless the trek was worth the wait.

“There’s beauty as far as the eye can see,” Athena states dreamily. “The pictures we’re taking don’t come close to what’s really here.”

“We were relieved to find a tiny cottage that looked like it was just made for us,” Lorraine states. “We were welcome by the sweetest lady.”

“As the official hermit of Granite Falls, my house is your house,” Mya Esposito explains.

“Athena and I really got a chance to sit down and talk on a more personal level, mostly about motherhood. I have one daughter and a desire to have another and Athena shared what it was like to give up a child for adoption.”

“Does working with the kids in TEEN fill a void in my life?” Athena asks. “Yes, but it’s not something I talk about with just anybody.”

Meanwhile, Brooklyn and Cassandra brainstormed some ways to make TEEN more present on social media.

“Cass is sigma when it comes to original ideas for content,” Brooklyn states.

After a few hours, the group headed back down the mountain to a snowy surprise.

“I couldn’t believe it was snowing this late in the spring!” Brooklyn exclaims.

“Something about snow makes me want to get close to another Sim,”Jay tells us with a wink. “I had the perfect plan.”

“Jay was trying to be so cool leading us to the ranger’s cabin. He really had no idea where he was going,” Brooklyn laughs.

What will happen when Brooklyn and Jay reach the cabin? Will their flirtation finally turn into something more? Will anyone realize they are missing from camp?
