Blaise Runs Away

After a rocky start in Oasis Springs, the Benevolent girls suffered another catastrophe.

Young Blaise took it upon himself to leave home.

“Bridget and I searched the entire house, thinking he was just playing hide-and-seek,” Brooklyn cries. “When we realized he was missing, I lost it!”

“Brooklyn really blamed herself,” Bella states. “She feels like the kids are her sole responsibility and that’s just not true. I promised her I would find Blaise.”

And sure enough, she did.

“He was just a couple of streets over,” Bella adds. “He told me that he felt like the fires we had were his fault, so he left. Can you imagine?”

“This breaks my heart even more!’ Brooklyn exclaims. If I hadn’t freaked out about the fires and everything else, Blaise would have never left.”

The day did end on a better note when a tiny puppy who had recently pooped showed up on the Benevolent’s walk.

“Blaise feel in love with her,” Bella states. “I have no idea how we’re going to afford another mouth to feed, but I said we could keep her. Blaise named her Bailey.”

So, add another one to the Benevolent bunch!

How many more close calls can the Benevolent children survive before they break?
